The procedure for online shopping through the website:

When you have found the product you are looking for, click on the “Add to Cart” icon. You can check the products placed in the basket in the shopping cart icon on the top menu bar.

If the word Reservation appears instead of Add to Cart for that book or product, it means that the book or product is currently unavailable. If you click the reserve button, the website will automatically reserve the product to be ordered. To reserve and product through the pop up window, you need to log in to the site. The system will automatically send a notification via e-mail to you and the publisher’s system about the reserved product.

By clicking on the shopping cart icon in the top menu bar, you can see which products have been added to your cart in what quantity and value so far. You can continue shopping, delete the products placed in the Cart, or transfer them to our payment interface by pressing the “Checkout” button.

By registering, the user of the website also agrees that the Ludovika University Press lawfully handles the data provided in accordance with the data management information.

In the Cart interface you have the option to enter the delivery and payment method, and the delivery and billing details.

If you are a registered user and log in to the website, you can select the pick-up method, payment method, billing information and shipping address. The system offers the registered data as the primary option, but you can also enter other billing and delivery information, which will also be offered as an option by the website.

After accepting the GTC, you can send your order by clicking the Finalize Order button, after finalization, the system will redirect you to a page where you will receive an automatic reply regarding the success of the order and the order number. Simultaneously, you will receive a confirmation email to the email address which was provided.

In the webshop, offers of books for purchase by private individuals and public institutions are primarily offered by the operator. We cannot fulfill bookseller orders through the website, please contact our sales representative (

The buyer has the opportunity to select and order products on the website. You will find information about the product on the product presentation page.

You will no longer be able to use your username and password created before 01/07/2020, so please re-register when purchasing.

Please note that we will only send you a newsletter if you have registered separately for this purpose. This is possible in the Newsletter menu.

The customer has the option to select the desired product that will be added to a virtual shopping cart.

At the end of the purchase process, you will receive a summary of your order, which includes the products ordered and their value, plus the VAT (excluding postage). You can review and modify your order before submitting it.

If you wish to change your finalized order, please notify the operator in writing within 12 hours of the order at one of the contact details set out in point 1 of the GTC.

In the case of already mailed orders, it is not possible to change the contents of the original order or the method of delivery.

The appearance of the goods may differ from what is seen on the website.

The buyer is obliged to provide their own real data during the purchase and registration. In the event of false or personally identifiable information provided during purchase or registration, the resulting electronic contract will be void. The operator excludes its liability if the customer uses its services on behalf of another person with the data of another person.

The operator shall not be liable for any delivery delays or other problems or errors that can be traced back to incorrect or inaccurate data provided by the customer.

The operator shall not be liable for any resulting damage if the customer forgets his password or becomes available to unauthorized persons for any reason not attributable to the operator.


At the time of ordering, the prices indicated on the website are applicable to the order. Prices do not include postage and any other shipping costs incurred in fulfilling the order. The domestic postal point postage fee is 990 HUF gross and for the package remaining at the Post Office for pick up The gross home delivery cost is 1.280 HUF.

If the total amount of your order exceeds 15.000 HUF, we will take over the postal charges. Postage costs displayed in the web store are valid for domestic delivery addresses. In case international delivery requests, we can determine the delivery fee individually according to the weight of the order and the destination country. We will notify the customer in writing.

We also provide a 10% discount on the books of the Ludovika University Press for postal delivery and personal purchases at the UPS Bookstore in Budapest (1083 Budapest, Üllői út 82.). The delivered internet price can be found next to all our publications. The amount of the discount may vary from product to product.

Prices are set by the operator and it reserves the right not to offer a discount on certain products or to deviate from the general rate.

The operator makes every effort to ensure that the information displayed on the website (price, availability, description of products, etc.) is as accurate as possible. A price of 0 HUF  or 1 HUF  that is obviously incorrect due to a system error does not qualify as a call for tenders. Exceptions to this are gift products advertised as part of promotions. The pictures next to the products are illustrations, in each case the product description contains the characteristics of the products. The operator is liable for any errors that may occur in accordance with Decree No. 45/2014. (II. 26.) and the provisions of the Civil Code shall apply.

Order Processing and Delivery. Conditions of Delivery

By clicking the Finalize Order button, the buyer makes an offer, which gives rise to his payment obligation, and for which the operator sends a confirmation e-mail within two working days of the order. An automatic system message after the order has been submitted does not constitute confirmation.

After the receipt of the order the operator processes the incoming orders within two working days, the product in stock is delivered no later than 10 working days.

If the buyer sends an order via the website and the operator confirms the order by e-mail, a sales contract is concluded between the two parties. (If the e-mail confirming the receipt of the order is not received by the customer within two working days, the customer is released from the offer, he is not obliged to buy the ordered product or use the service.)

The operator is entitled to make the fulfillment of the order subject to individual conditions, if the buyer

 (a) previously purchased by cash on delivery but did not receive the product,

b) your previous purchase or payment with a credit card was later canceled by the bank,

 (c) in a previously contested complaint, it has been established that his objection was unfounded,

In the above cases, the operator is entitled to individually determine the payment, delivery or other conditions (e.g. stipulation of payment by advance only, delivery by personal collection only, etc.).

If the ordered product is not available, the operator will send a notification immediately and return any prepaid online payment to the card used for payment no later than 14 days after the notification. The buyer will not incur any additional costs in connection with the canceled transaction.

The postage cost displayed in the web store is valid for domestic delivery addresses. In case of an international delivery request, we can determine the delivery fee individually according to the weight of the order and the destination country. We will discuss this in writing with the customer.

We cannot send a package to a PO Box address.

Home delivery by courier service (MPL Courier Service)

In case of home delivery, you can provide your home, work, or residence address. In this case, it is advisable to provide a mobile number, because the Hungarian Postal Services (Magyar Posta) sends an automatic text (SMS) notification on the day of delivery.

Postal points or pick-up from post office (MPL Courier Service)

If you are unable to receive the ordered product with home delivery on working days between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., you can choose to receive it by postal point destinations. In this case, it is advisable to provide a mobile number, because the Hungarian Postal Services (Magyar Posta) sends an automatic text (SMS) notification on the day of receipt.

We provide information about the received order to our customers on working days from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the telephone number +36-1-432-9000 Extension 20444 or at the e-mail address .

Terms of Payment:

The operator will send the product ordered on the website by COD (cash on delivery) or after the payment has been done via the online credit/debit card system. Please note that only public institutions can pay by post-pay bank transfer, for private individuals and companies it is required to transfer the amount in advance after the invoice has been issued. Please indicate in the comments box if you wish to pay by bank transfer.

With credit card payment, you can shop conveniently and securely in our store. After ordering the selected products, you will be directed to the Simplepay website, where you can pay with your bank card through the encrypted transaction currently used by the Bank, which is considered the most secure. All our customers have to do is click on Payment by bank card when selecting the payment method, and then enter the card number, expiration date and three-digit security code (on the back side of the card) on the Simplepay payment server. Simplepay accepts VISA, VISA Electron, V-Pay, MasterCard, Maestro and JCB cards. Bank cards issued exclusively for electronic use can only be accepted if their use is authorized by the bank issuing the card! Please check with your bank to see if your card can be used for online purchases.

After a successful purchase, Simplepay will issue an authorization number for the transaction, which is advisable to write down or print out the entire page. In the event of a failed transaction, Simplepay will indicate the cause of the error in an error message.

Until the value of the order and the payment and postage costs are paid, the product remains the property of the operator.

Withdrawl/ Cancellation

With regard to the consumer’s right of withdrawal (cancellation) and termination, 45/2014. (II. 26.) of the Government of the Republic of Hungary shall apply.

„20. § (1) In the case of a contract concluded outside the business premises and concluded between absentees, the consumer shall have the right to withdraw without justification within the term specified in subsection (2). In the case of an off-premises and off-premises contract for the provision of a service, if performance begins after the declaration pursuant to § 13 or § 19 has been made, the consumer shall have the right to terminate without justification within the period specified in paragraph 2.

 (2) The consumer’s right of withdrawal or cancellation under paragraph 1

 (a) in the case of a contract for the sale of a product

aa) the product,

 (ab) in the case of the sale of several products, if each product is supplied at different times, to the last product supplied,

 (ac) in the case of a product consisting of several items or pieces, the last item or piece delivered,

 (ad) where the product is to be supplied regularly within a specified period, from the date of receipt of the first service by the consumer or a third party other than the carrier and designated by one.

(b) in the case of a service contract, within fourteen days of the date on which the contract is concluded.

In the cases pursuant to Section 29 (1) of the Government Decree referred to in this point, the consumer may not exercise the right of withdrawal. Pursuant to Section 29 (1) (j), the consumer may not exercise his right of withdrawal in respect of newspapers, magazines and periodicals, with the exception of subscription contracts. Furthermore, the right of withdrawal cannot be exercised after the purchase of downloadable content (electronic book) after using the service.

You can return the products purchased from our webshop in person or return them by post to the address of your publisher’s bookstore together with the invoice received at the time of purchase. We are unable to pick up a cash on delivery (COD) package.

In case of withdrawal/ cancellation, the fee for returning the product is borne by the buyer.

Furthermore, the right of withdrawal/ cancellation cannot be enforced if you take your online order in person at the operator’s bookstore. In this case, the customer has the opportunity to verify the conformity of the product before taking it to the store.

For damage-free products and invoices, we will refund the purchase price of the product and any other statutory costs incurred within 14 days of receipt.

The operator may claim compensation for damage resulting from improper use of the product.
